The following points detail the steps necessary for downloading and running the JaDEX application on a Mac OS X system. It is necessary that your computer run Java version 5, as the software will not work with previous versions.

Download the software
	Click on the link below to start downloading the disk image jadex.dmg (approx 1.5 Mb)

Once you have downloaded the file

• Mount the disk image, if it was not mounted automatically
• Copy the JaDEX application to a folder of your choice
• Double-click the application icon to run it
• (first time only) Get the dictionary data from the internet using the update feature
